Are you Christian... or do you just think you are?

Hey Guys! This is a new page... and I don’t know if I’ll keep it but let me know what you think! Soooooooo heres the first blog I might as well say something....

So I’m a college freshman, what fun that is. I have been VERY involved so far this year, and am starting to really see that this month. I cannot wait to get done with my portfolio, the competitions, and the scholarship stuff!!! OMG and I have been praying so much these past few weeks... what do i do??? DO I TRANSFER OR STAY HERE? I just hope God will let me know his thoughts pretty soon. I’m going crazy! LOL

So I would like to propose a topic of thought. This has provoked me for a while now AND I’d like to know how you, the reader thinks it applies.

The word Christians was not used to define a Christ follower, until the disciples and followers of Jesus were NAMED that by the onlookers in Antioch. The Christians of Jesus day were named Christians, because they lived their lives in a CHRIST LIKE manor. Now I ask you, if you are seen today by your fellow classmates, employees, or just a fellow human walking down the street would they name you a Christian?

In our culture there are the nights of parties followed by the early church morning the next day, a quick sex session instead of reading about God’s love, and even more hypocritical activities. The life God gave us is not something we should waste.

Deep down I think we as Gods children know what the right thing to do is, we just need to figure out how it applies to our lives.

Through our actions.... we as Christians are creating a negative reaction among unbelievers, and believers alike. We need to lead Christ like lives, so We might be named CHRISTIANS!

BTW I uploaded new pics into www.Cloud9photography.blogspot.com CHECK IT OUT!

><>GodBless><> I LOVE YOU ALL!

  1. I think many of us who are Christians are Christians by name and not by the true definition.

Most of us, if not all of us, do not come even an inch close to live according to God's will. We live our lives through a series of sins and asking for forgiveness, sins and asking for forgiveness...and on and on thinking that because of God's forgiving nature, we can simply wipe our slate clean by asking for forgiveness. One of the basic values as a Christian is to live according to what God wants and to sincerely ask for forgiveness when we do sin and try our hardest not to repeat our mistakes.
